Civilization and Supply Crawlers: the Key to serious coinage

Well I played a game of civ this month that many would have considered a waste of life. But alas it was a valueable tool. I enjoyed the game, but more importantly, it taught me something.

The lesson of supply crawlers.

Supply crawlers are how i won the hardest mode of the game, and i believe are the secret to ridiculous loads of money.

Basically you manufacture supply crawlers and those babies go out and mine minerals from neighborhood resources.

Not much just a nickle here and a nickle there. But the more nickles you have coming in the more you can make more supply crawlers, and soon you have legions of crawlers each adding loads and loads of coinage to your bank.

Lots of people are out there trying to flip this house and make a load of money, in the next big thing.

The other day i got a piece of mail talking about making 400% opening a forex trading account. Everyone wants big bucks now.

What about making a little money, then letting someone else running it and letting them manage it, and cutting your proffits down, and getting a little trickle. How to create automated tasks that are trickling money into your account. Thats my goal.

Crafting the supply crawlers, thats the art.

Sell Oil!

I predict that the price of oil will plummet!

I read an interesting article in the new yorker

http://www.newyorker.com/talk/financial/2008/07/07/080707ta_talk_surowiecki.

Where they were talking about the power of perception in the markets. Read it....

As I was reading it i began to see a pattern in the american psyche, a pattern which i have been seeing in myself.

The desire to not work to much and be a lazy manic investor. Let your money work for you.

And what seems to be happening is that in the past 10 years there has been these huge market swings. And i have been involved in all of them.

First off, there was the tech bubble. Then there was Real estate
And now there is oil.

Prices of oil are skyrocketing, and before that real estate, and before that stocks.

Oil is the new investment vehicle.

LA DREAMERS

I feel perhaps frustererated that my practice (Rolfing) is not growing as quickly as i would like, and am always wondering if my plan of working as a health promoter is a naive pipe dream. I look around and see bodyworkers, barely scraping by, and i am like well what is this? is this what i want to emulate? And i wonder if all of my dreams are based on the advice that is so often given to young people with affluent parents: Find your passion follow it. They advise this because they have found money and no happiness and think that the opposite of their own direction may lead to a better result. And i see artists all following this advice, and struggling to make ends meet, because life isnt that easy, following your passion isnt enough... life is not just a stage to dance on, its a survival game, and their are predators hunting you down.

Going out to la i seee legions of screenwriters and actors in coffeeshops, all waiting for their big break, as they borrow money from parents who tell them to hang in there and push through it.... unfortunately.... its like normandy.....
